HeidelbergCement Group

Installation of automatic emissions monitoring system

Goal: dissemination of technologies for climate and environment in accordance with the EU Directives, integrated control and prevention of pollution.

The development of the project was carried out in three stages:

  1. Technical survey of the facility, preparation of technical specifications for design.
  2. Development and approval of project documentation, supply of a set of equipment
  3. Installation of equipment, commissioning for the entire system

As part of the project, a system for continuous monitoring of pollutants SGK-510 in the flue gases of the furnace was installed at the gas duct of the cement kiln, as the main source of emissions from the cement plant: inorganic dust, carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide in terms of NO2.

SGK-510 provides continuous monitoring of pollutant emissions through direct instrumental measurement of their concentration in exhaust gases, volume flow. Based on the measurement results obtained, the system continuously calculates the mass of pollutant emissions.

In this way, control of emissions of all marker substances for which continuous monitoring is mandatory is achieved.

In the future, after the centralization of data collection, this system will transfer this data directly to the state body.

The systems of continuous monitoring of emissions introduced by the company "Promanalit" allow the specialists of the enterprise to receive information on the efficiency of the main filter in a continuous mode and take measures to reduce emissions in a timely manner.

HeidelbergCement became one of the first companies to implement a continuous automatic control project in the cement industry, thanks to its internal principles, responsible attitude to environmental, health and safety issues, as well as successful experience in implementing similar projects in other countries.
